JUNIOR "IRISH BLESSING"

"May God hold you in the palm of His Hand."

As "luck" would have it, our Order has some very active Junior Members. Who are the Juniors? They are members ages birth through age 17. Do you know anyone who falls into this category? If so, ask them to join!!!!

Hey Juniors!! Do you want your friends to be "green" with envy at all they hear you are doing in your Junior Circles? Ask them to join in the fun!!! Once they are a member, they will feel like they've reached their "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow." You can share Bible stories; collect items to put in the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes (this can be done all year); help with community projects; entertain at nursing homes, assisted living homes, or day cares. Be our Order's "leprechauns" and ask, ask, ask.

craft for the monthLUCKY SHAMROCK CUPCAKES

First place paper liners in 32 regular sized muffin tins. Make a white cake mix according to the directions on the package. Fill each of the paper liners halfway up with the batter. Now for the "magic" part. Roll three (3) balls of foil (2/3 inch in diameter) for each cupcake. Insert them evenly around the perimeter between the liner and the tin. Bake the cupcakes for a few minutes less than the package tells you to or until the toothpick comes out clean. (the reason is because you have less batter in each cup). Allow the cupcakes to cook and then remove them from the tin. For the frosting: Mix white frosting (in a can is okay) with some green food coloring. Frost each cupcake. Now stick a 2 inch long piece of green licorice for the stem on each one. These are fun and very cute too. You will be the "envy" of all your family and friends when they see what you have made this month! Enjoy.

NEWS FROM "THE BRANCH" NEWSLETTER - TEXAS

Cleburne Charters New Junior Circle - the Sunshine Sisters

The Sunshine Sisters Circle was chartered on October 26, 2006. Lend A Hand Circle sponsored the newest junior circle along with Hearts of Gold Circle. The Sunshine Sisters consists of 9 members who are King's Daughters' legacies. This wonderful group of 5th graders are filled with the spirit and ready to work! Their first project was taking snack donations to the Johnson County Child Advocacy Center. They received a wonderful tour of the facility by Tammy King, the director. They are donating gifts to Cleburne City Union's Goodfellows and are helping pack the Goodfellow boxes. They also filled precious Christmas stockings to be included with some of the boxes. We hope that you will attend the State Convention this spring and meet these wonderful young ladies!
