Happy Father’s Day

snowflakesWhat is the definition of “Father”? The dictionary describes it as “a man who nurtures a child”. We all have had a father figure in our lives. And Father’s Day is the day in which to honor that special someone in your life. Spend time with your Dad! Make a special breakfast for him (see recipe), go walking with him, play games with him, or just plain talk to him. He can teach you a lot. Listen to him. Let him share his memories with you as they are special to him. Cherish the time you spend with him.

You know what? We have a Heavenly Father that is awesome to talk to as well. You need to spend time with Him on a daily basis. Cherish the time you spend with Him as well. Our Heavenly Father is always there for you. He is there for you whenever and wherever you need Him.

QUICK AND EASY OMELET

Make a special breakfast for your Moms and Dads on their special day or anyday!

Put different omelet add-ins in different bowls like ham, cheese, tomatoes, olives, onions, etc. and line them up on a counter. Put on a large pan of water and bring it to a boil. Then take a quart size Ziploc bag and crack two eggs into it. Put a little of whatever ingredients they like into the bag also. Zip it shut and squish it all together with your hand. Then drop the bag into the boiling water for 13 -15 minutes. Open the bag and roll in out on the plate. Serve with toast and you have a quick and easy (and awesome) breakfast!!!!

NEWS FROM "THE BRANCH" NEWSLETTER - TEXAS

Cleburne Charters New Junior Circle - the Sunshine Sisters

The Sunshine Sisters Circle was chartered on October 26, 2006. Lend A Hand Circle sponsored the newest junior circle along with Hearts of Gold Circle. The Sunshine Sisters consists of 9 members who are King's Daughters' legacies. This wonderful group of 5th graders are filled with the spirit and ready to work! Their first project was taking snack donations to the Johnson County Child Advocacy Center. They received a wonderful tour of the facility by Tammy King, the director. They are donating gifts to Cleburne City Union's Goodfellows and are helping pack the Goodfellow boxes. They also filled precious Christmas stockings to be included with some of the boxes. We hope that you will attend the State Convention this spring and meet these wonderful young ladies!
