The Junior Members of our Order are members who are ages birth through 17 years of age. These youth are an important part of our future. International dues for Junior Members, age birth through 17 years of age, are only $2.00 per year. Juniors may become Junior Members of Senior Circles, or, with the support of Senior Members, start their own Circles with as few as three members. Hi Juniors! Well, your schools should all be out by now. Did you think the school year went by fast? I sure did and I'm not even in school! Summer is a great time for all of you to do some projects and fundraisers for your Circles. If you are not part of an organized Junior Circle, you could still get involved with things on your own and support the projects on your own. But I have an even better idea -- why not gather some of your friends together and form a NEW Junior Circle! You might be wondering what fun projects you could do. One of my favorites is a car wash. Its fun, you can make money, it doesn't cost much to do, AND you can have a great time getting wet in the hot weather. Another great money making project is to "Rent a Kid", where people pay you to do things around the house for them. These items might include helping them clean, mow, wash windows, etc. Now what King's Daughters and Sons projects could you support with these money? This list is endless! You could use the money to purchase items to put together shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Another suggestion is to purchase books for the literacy project and give them to the library, homeless shelters, hospitals to be given to the kids or new mothers to read to the babies as they grown, etc. Yet another good idea would be to purchase animals for the Heifer Project to help families around the world. Now here is a great
idea. Why no get a team together and walk in the Relay for Life in your
area for the American Cancer Society? The Sunshine Sisters in Texas did
just this very thing and raised a lot of money for a very worthwhile project.

The Knights of the Trinity Junior Circle from Texas. NEWS FROM "THE BRANCH" NEWSLETTER - TEXAS Cleburne Charters New Junior Circle - the Sunshine Sisters
The Sunshine Sisters Circle was chartered on October 26, 2006. Lend A Hand Circle sponsored the newest junior circle along with Hearts of Gold Circle. The Sunshine Sisters consists of 9 members who are King's Daughters' legacies. This wonderful group of 5th graders are filled with the spirit and ready to work! Their first project was taking snack donations to the Johnson County Child Advocacy Center. They received a wonderful tour of the facility by Tammy King, the director. They are donating gifts to Cleburne City Union's Goodfellows and are helping pack the Goodfellow boxes. They also filled precious Christmas stockings to be included with some of the boxes. We hope that you will attend the State Convention this spring and meet these wonderful young ladies! |
