PRAYER DAY
As we prepare to unite
in prayer on this 2008 Prayer Day, let us remember to include in our prayers
the following:
- Members of our family
- Those who suffer and those in trouble
- Concerns of our communities
- The world, its people and its leaders
- Missionaries and other persons in mission here and around the world
- Our churches
- Our fellow King's Daughters and Sons as we work to serve others In His
Name
- Service men and women around the world who protect our freedoms
Everything you ask for in prayer, you will receive. Matthew 21:22
No Prayer Goes Unheard

Often we pause and
wonder when we kneel down to pray -
Can God really hear the prayers that we say…
But if we keep praying and talking to Him,
He'll brighten the soul that was clouded and dim;
And as we continue our burdens seem lighter,
Our sorrow is softened and our outlook is brighter -
For though we feel helpless and alone when we start,
Our prayer is the key that opens the heart.
And as our heart opens, the dear Lord comes in,
And the prayer that we felt we could never begin
Is so easy to say, for the Lord understands
And gives us new strength by the touch of His hands.
