I have no objection to the concept of re-gifting.  I don’t mind receiving a gift that was first given to another.   And, from time to time, I re-gift to others.  I recently found a scarf, unopened and unused, that I thought was perfect for my friend so I gave it to her.    When I think about the gifts of the Holy Spirit – you know, peace, patience, joy, gentleness etc – God’s gifts given to us as a result of our faith, I wonder if God isn’t the original re-gifter.  Could it be that we are given them in order to then give them away to others?  And the spiritual gifts we have received – for some teaching, for others preaching, encouragement, healing, or leading.  These gifts were given so that everyone in the body of Christ has a place.  Gifts received and gifts given.  We are leading up to the season of gift-giving.  I am thankful for the gifts of KDS members used to strengthen and encourage.
