When we lived in Greely, Ontario we belonged to a small church. It didn’t stay small for long as God blessed the work of the pastor and all the leaders, bringing in many seekers. There were many reasons for this growth but one of the strangest was folks who had read our church signs and were curious to see what kind of church this was. We had a faithful “sign person” with a great sense of humour. Ever since then, many churches have put up great signs – some intentionally and some, I suspect, unintentionally. Here are a few of my favourites:
Prevent Truth Decay, Brush up on Your Bible
Live life well so we don’t have to lie at your funeral
Need a Life Guard? Ours Walks on Water.
God wants full custody, not just weekend visits
Don’t let worry kill you, let the church help
Adam and Eve, the first people not to read the Apple Terms and Conditions
With all this rain, we need an ark – and we Noah guy!
