You have met at least one connector – maybe you are one! These members are engaging, warm, people-persons. They start conversations in grocery store lines, on train platforms and in church halls. Gifted and personable, they may or may not also be leaders. They don’t need to be leaders to have a real and lasting impact on an organization.   I know you have met a connector because someone reached out to you and said, “join us” or “apply for a scholarship” or “come with us to Chautauqua”.     In 2020 we will be celebrating 100 years of IOKDS presence on the grounds of the Chautauqua Institution. That is also 100 years of delivering the Chautauqua Scholarship Program.   We want to get the word out to all former CSP graduates – many of whom did not keep up their memberships and therefore whose contact information has been lost. This is where the connectors come in.   Go out to the highways and the byways of electronic connectivity and find those long-lost folks. Tell them that a Reunion Week is being planned at Chautauqua and to watch our website for updates and plan information. They will be glad you did and so will I. Thank you.
