Do you like Barbara Streisand’s recording, Memory?  When I hear the song, it brings back some of my personal memories about good times spent and leaves me energized with the warm emotion of nostalgia.

While the melody and words give me feelings of connection with special people, they also motivate me to reconnect with old friends.  As the song says, “Let memory live again.” Chautauqua Scholars have an opportunity to reconnect this summer for Celebration 2020 on the Chautauqua Institution grounds and IOKDS houses and chapel.  Check iokds.org for special celebration events and room rates at one of our IOKDS houses.  Reservations must be made by January 15, 2020.

Chautauqua Scholars and Staff still have a few weeks left to let their cherished Chautauqua Class memories flood back and share them in writing or photos for the Chautauqua Scholar’s Memory Book.  Treat yourself recalling a big moment or your favorite setting at Chautauqua.  Record it in an email or snail mail to Headquarters (iokds5@windstream.net; P.O. Box 1017, Chautauqua, NY 14722).  Sharing memories prevents them from fading and lets them grow instead.
