Chapters

Transforming lives to their fullest capacity for physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual well-being.

  • Under Article XII of our Bylaws, Chapters are defined under the heading of Local Affiliate.
  • Whenever fifty or more enrolled members of the Order choose a special work, they may organize a Chapter for the furtherance of such work.
  • Chapters may adopt their own Bylaws consistent with those of the IOKDS corporation.
  • All projects and ministries of local affiliates shall be managed and operated according to policies and practices determined by the governing board and staff of the local affiliate.
  • IOKDS has four Chapters.  All chapter members must be members in good standing of the Order through a Circle, Branch or a Member-at-Large.

The entire membership is invited to join the Chautauqua Chapter to further the work of the Order at the Chautauqua Institution.

Past Officers and Directors (formerly known as Life Members of Central Council) who have served three or more years in an International office are invited to join the POD Chapter to further the work of the Order by supporting various projects of the Order.

Past and Present Branch Presidents, International Officers, and Independent Circle Presidents are invited to join the Past and Present Branch Presidents Chapter to further the work of the Order by supporting various projects of the Order.

Members who have received or directed an International Scholarship (Around the World, Chautauqua, Health Careers, New Horizons, New Horizons on The Road, Native American, and/or Student Ministry) are invited to join the Scholarship Chapter to support the International Scholarships of the Order.
