Is the flag up? Is He King of my heart?

As you travel through Europe there are small kingdoms where there are still kings. If the king is at his home, the flag flies over the residence.
If we take this thought to our love of our King, I will ask you if the flag is up over your heart? Is He King of our life? Do I truly ask Him daily to be Lord of my life? Do I desire to submit to His leadership? To His authority? I have included some king related verses to remind us of His deity, His majesty, and His uniqueness.

Ps 5:2 Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and My God for to You I will pray. 3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up.

Ps 47:6 Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! 7 For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding.

Ps 2:7 “I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. 8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.

Isa 44:6 “Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.

Matt 2:11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

These kingmakers fell at His feet. These would be those that educated, counseled, and declared a king fit to serve. Daniel would have technically been a Magi. They knew their place in His presence, at His feet.

Luke 19:38 “‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD! ‘Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” 39 And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” 40 But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”

Rev 19:16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Let’s begin each day at His feet, praising, and asking for guidance. Lord JESUS, we want to be more like You. Amen.
