I Am the Light

of the World

The Gospel of John reminds people of who and what Jesus does. “I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will not walk in darkness. The light shines in the darkness and does not overcome it” (John 8:12, John 1: 5).

Folks, we have seen and experienced much darkness these days, but Christ assures us we have the Eternal Life of Christ in us and we are to follow the Light. So, may we never forget whose we and who we are. Our ministry brings hope, love, and encouragement to so many people!

Amanda Gorman, the nation’s first youth poet, exclaimed at the Presidential Inauguration, January 20, 2021: “When the day comes, we ask ourselves where can we find light in this never- ending shade? For there is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it, if only we’re brave enough to be it.” May our lights in our hearts shine bright for all God’s children.

Lighthouse
“I will be your lighthouse in the dark mist of the storms, shining my beacon of light across the choppy waters of the sea, to help guide you to a place that is more calmer and still. Let my light shine big and bright all through the night, until day breaks and the sun shines. I will stand alone in the dark guiding you always with my light.”
